Oppo
F9 & F9 Pro launched !!
Chinese
smartphone maker Oppo launched two models of the F9 series in India on August
21. The F9 and F9 pro phones will cost Rs 19,990 and Rs 23,990 respectively
here. Here's a closer look at the newly launched mid-segment smartphone.
Let's
talk about tech: VOOC flash charging
Claiming
it to be a major breahthrough, the VOOC flash charging technology used in the
F9 pro model is one the key features of the phone and offering users super fast
charging. According to the company, VOOC is capable of charging a battery up to
50 per cent in 30 minutes. The technology has, however, not been used in Oppo's
F9 smartphone.
Waterdrop
screen
The
F9 Pro comes with a 6.3-inch display and waterdrop screen features. The combo
offers users a 90.8% screen with an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. The company is
claiming this to be a revolution in industrial design. The breakthrough
structure, backed by 46 patents, gives a complete view to its users, claims
Oppo.
Design:
Crystal back
The
pone has a petal-shaped pattern running along the back of the phone- an
industrial first as Oppo claims- is supposed to give the phone an elegant look.
Red,
blue, purple: What colour do you want?
The
F9 pro will be available in three colours- sunrise red, twilight blue, starry
purple. The company has worked on the design and opted for colours, which it says,
would change shades in different environment.
Amped-up
camera features
The
phone also sports dual-rear cameras, expected in a 16MP+2MP configuration.
However, what the Chinese phone maker is banking on is 25MP AI selfie camera
that will allow users to take exquisite pictures, in bright or low light, with
images that pop right off the screen.
Exciting
offers
Oppo
F9 Pro is available for pre-orders through Flipkart. According to media
reports, ICICI Bank Credit card holders will get 10% cashback, up to Rs 2,000,
on purchasing via EMI offers. Moreover, Reliance Jio subscribers will receive,
it was was reported, 3.2TB worth of free 4G data, alongside additional benefits
of up to Rs 4,900. In addition, customers will also be eligible to avail
one-time screen replacement, as well as a 3D metallic bottle. All these
announcements were part of the mega launch event that took place in Mumbai
yesterday (August 21).
The
F9 phone has almost all the features of the pro model, barring a few. Among the
ones missing in the F9 version are the VOOC technology and a slightlty lower
RAM capacity of 4GB, as against F9 Pro's 6GB RAM. The camera specifications
between the devices are the same, barring the 16MP front sensor that comes with
F9 Pro.
